The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McRedd ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McRedd fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alves lands a right hook to the body.
Alves misses with an uppercut. McRedd saw that one coming.
Alves bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McRedd's head.
Alves misses with a double jab.
McRedd throws a head kick that misses.
McRedd tries for a takedown but Alves sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
McRedd misses with a few strikes there.
Alves just misses with a punch to the body.
Alves thuds a left hand into McRedd's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alves looks to land a right hand but McRedd moved out of range.
McRedd slips a jab from Alves.
Alves takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Alves bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McRedd's head.
Alves swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McRedd misses with an uppercut. Alves saw that one coming.
Alves scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Alves throws a jab when McRedd was well out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McRedd wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Alves works the jab nicely.
Alves connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The crowd cheers as Alves lands an impressive looking overhand right. McRedd doesn't seem phased though.

Alves lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in McRedd - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Alves!
