Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Sturd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sturd might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX - We In Here. Carwin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tool - Vicarious kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Sturd misses with a looping left.
Sturd misses with a wild body shot.
Sturd stuns Carwin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Carwin looks to score with a jab to the body but Sturd is just out of range.
Sturd throws a head kick but Carwin moves out of range.
Carwin doesn't manage to clinch there - Sturd circles away.

Carwin shoots in and drives through. Sturd sprawls well.

Casey Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carwin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sturd, pushing him back against the cage.
Carwin throws a punch but it's blocked by Sturd.

Sturd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sturd keeps Carwin at a distance using the push kick.
Carwin looks gassed!
Sturd misses with a wild body shot.
Carwin throws a body punch but Sturd moves out of range.
Carwin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Carwin. Those never looked like landing.
Sturd lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Carwin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Sturd ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carwin moves away.
Sturd is looking to wear down Carwin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Carwin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sturd can pounce on him.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sturd. Carwin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sturd scoring well with a low kick there.
Sturd scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Sturd fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carwin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sturd cracks Carwin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sturd feints and then cracks Carwin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Carwin down.
Carwin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sturd with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carwin is rocked!
Carwin gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Carwin tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Sturd is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Carwin buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Carwin!! Carwin is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Sturd throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

A very excited looking Jason Sturd made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
