The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cable fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cable looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cable shoots in and bounces Macieira off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Macieira thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Macieira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
