The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dobson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pena did well to prevent Dobson getting side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dobson has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Pena works to full guard.
Dobson throws a big right hand that misses.

Dobson wants to pass the guard but Pena is keeping the position.

Dobson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pena on his heels. He'll look to pass Pena's guard now, I'm sure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dobson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dobson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pena decides to stand back up. Pena steps back and let's Dobson get back to his feet.
Hayden Dobson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dobson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pena is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dobson scores with a couple of nice shots.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Hayden Dobson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well Dobson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
