Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barack Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rila Kuma!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kuma manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kuma misses with a few strikes there.
Kuma circles away from the clinch attempt.

Kuma shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kuma was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kuma stands up from mount. Strange move.
Bush tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kuma counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Oooh a lovely combination from Bush sends Kuma down but not out. Bush dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Rila Kuma has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bush throws a strike but Kuma rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kuma has one foot on Bush's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Bush tries to clinch up but Kuma circles away and keeps his distance.
A left lands for Bush.
Barack Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bush looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bush tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kuma paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kuma stands up out of the half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuma connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kuma catches Bush with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kuma stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kuma wants it to stay on the feet.
Bush fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kuma scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bush dodges the punch combination from Kuma.
Bush moves in looking to clinch but Kuma pushes him off.

Kuma throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bush was covering up waiting for the punch and Kuma finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kuma drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bush manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kuma has Bush in his guard.

Bush controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bush throws a big right hand that misses.
Kuma bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bush's guard.

Kuma is pushing down on Bush's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bush is fighting to maintain full guard but Kuma has managed to sneak the leg through.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kuma in particular looking to stall.

Bush regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kuma is looking to advance position but Bush has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Bush misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kuma wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bush.

Kuma tries to hold on but Bush postures up.

Bush moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kuma has worked his arm free - good work by Kuma!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kuma managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bush.
Bush wants to stand but Kuma has his arm trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rila Kuma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Kuma connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bush's hands.

Bush closes the distance and clinches.
Bush goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kuma's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kuma misses with a hook. Bush ducked under it nicely.

Bush shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kuma defends it nicely.

Kuma shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bush is trying to defend but Kuma finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Kuma wants to advance to full mount but Bush doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Bush tries to kick Kuma off but Kuma keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bush is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rila Kuma is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kuma closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kuma content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Kuma's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kuma wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bush keeps working.

Barack Bush is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bush tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kuma connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kuma looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rila Kuma has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bush gets back to full guard.

Kuma stays in close to Bush's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuma advances to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bush is trying to control but can't.
Bush gets back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kuma gets to his feet - Bush follows without any prompting.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rila Kuma comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kuma winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Rila Kuma really struggled to get his t-shirt was on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Adam's NORTHERN WILD $10 Sale logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
