And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Baine!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stann throws the kick towards the body but Baine avoids it.
Baine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Baine fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Baine misses with a takedown
and Stann counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Stann throws a half hearted mid kick.
Baine misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brian Stann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Baine.
Nice takedown defense from Stann. No joy for Baine on that attempt.
Stann tries to bum rush Baine with a series of wild strikes but Baine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stann misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Stann ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Baine looks gassed!
Stann scores with a three punch combo!
Stann connects with a single shot there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stann throws a wild body kick that Baine sees coming a mile off.
Stann throws an off balance right hand

and Baine counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Baine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stann keeps working.
Stann is trying to stand back up but Baine is controlling him

Baine seems to be working for a kimura but Stann defends the submission attempt.
Baine seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stann does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Baine stops Stann from getting back to his feet.
Baine thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Baine controlling the action here.

Baine maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Stann could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Baine has cracked it and Stann is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Baine!
