The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Trannon lands a nice looking body shot.
Daniel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Daniel clinches up against the cage.
Daniel blocks an elbow strike from Trannon.
Daniel can't break the clinch.
Trannon throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Trannon misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Daniel.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Daniel as Trannon tries to tie him up.
Trannon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Daniel just stands there and leans against the cage.
Trannon wants to stall.

Daniel breaks from the clinch.
Trannon misses with a straight left.
Sloppy strikes from Daniel. Those never looked like landing.

Daniel shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Trannon is trying to defend but Daniel finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Daniel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Daniel in particular looking to stall.

Daniel seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Trannon for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are battling for position here. Trannon manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Daniel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Trannon is looking for a triangle but Daniel pushes his legs off easily.

Daniel drops back looking for a leg! Trannon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Trannon manages to kick Daniel off! Daniel jumps back into Trannon's guard.
Daniel tries to free his leg and advance position but Trannon is retaining full guard.
Trannon controls Daniel momentarily but Daniel frees himself.

Daniel lands a left and a right that send Trannon crashing to the mat, dazed. Daniel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Trannon is rocked!

Daniel shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Daniel slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Daniel lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
