Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Booze Hound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Kagawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Booze Hound!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shinji Kagawa!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kagawa throws a series of strikes that have Hound backpedaling.
Hound darts in trying to clinch
letting Kagawa counter with a right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hound looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kagawa lands a nice shot that snaps Hound's head back.
Kagawa throws a nice looking combination but Hound bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hound just misses with a punch to the body.
Hound tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kagawa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hound somewhat.
Kagawa changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kagawa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Hound closes the distance looking to clinch

and Kagawa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kagawa not doing much here.

Kagawa seems to be working for a kimura but Hound defends the submission attempt.
Kagawa wants to take a breather but Hound is having none of it.

Hound is looking to control Kagawa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hound avoid being mounted?
Kagawa trying to advance position but Hound counters by regaining guard.
Hound on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hound tries to get out of the position.
Hound wants to stand and escape but Kagawa is having none of it.
Kagawa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kagawa pushes down on Hound's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hound has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kagawa is working away from the top position though.

Hound is looking for a sweep. Kagawa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kagawa is looking to advance position but Hound won't allow it.

Kagawa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hound doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kagawa.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hound is in trouble now - Kagawa has advanced to mount!
Hound is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hound is just holding on here. Kagawa manages to take his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shinji Kagawa dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Kagawa counters with a nice body shot.

Kagawa keeps the fight on the outside.
Booze Hound seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kagawa throws a series of punches but Hound avoids them all with ease.
Kagawa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hound uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Good leg kick by Kagawa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kagawa lands a head kick!
Kagawa connects with a right hand. Hound shakes it off.
Hound changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kagawa tries to avoid it but Hound manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kagawa to the ground. Kagawa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hound shoots in for a double leg but Kagawa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kagawa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


Hound is rocked!
Hound tries to clinch but Kagawa moves out of range.
Oh Hound is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hound shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Booze Hound. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hound tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kagawa was well out of range. Poor timing from Hound.
Hound seems to have got his legs back now.
Hound will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Good leg kick by Kagawa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kagawa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Booze Hound is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hound stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kagawa.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hound. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kagawa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kagawa duly obliges.

Hound throws a series of punches but Kagawa moves out of range.
Shinji Kagawa seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kagawa punishes Hound's body with a nice straight punch.
Hound takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hound shoots in but no luck this time.

Kagawa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kagawa duly obliges.

Kagawa works Hound's body with a nice hook.
Hound misses with a takedown
letting Kagawa counter with a right hand.
Kagawa lands a right hook to the body.

Hound throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kagawa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hound thinking.
Hound has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hound takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hound has his takedown stuffed
and Kagawa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd cheers as Kagawa lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hound doesn't seem phased though.

Hound moves into the clinch successfully.

Kagawa manages to break the clinch.
A lazy left from Kagawa finds it's target.

Kagawa scores with a takedown into Hound's guard.
Kagawa wants to control from the top but Hound keeps moving.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hound walks into a stiff left hand from Kagawa.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shinji Kagawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Hound shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kagawa pinned against the cage. Kagawa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Booze Hound. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hound tries for a takedown but Kagawa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kagawa connects with a high kick.

Hound closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kagawa circles away.

Kagawa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hound napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kagawa works to advance to full mount. Hound defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kagawa is trying to stick to Hound's back but Hound is turning into Kagawa. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kagawa's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hound.

Kagawa is controlling Hound's posture.
Kagawa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hound manages to get himself to full guard.
Shinji Kagawa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hound trying to keep a closed guard but Kagawa is proving a slippery customer.
Booze Hound has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Shinji Kagawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kagawa winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
