Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kangas Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Try and Catch Me. Miguel Torres has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kangas Khan!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Torres does no damage.
Torres throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range.
Torres defending well as Khan loads up on a big left hand.
Torres misses with a wild combination.
Torres pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Khan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Torres is out of range and Khan settles back down.
Torres moves forwards but Khan connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Torres works over Khan's head and body with a nice combination.
Khan throws a one two combo.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Torres, right into the meat.
Torres misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khan misses with the combination.
Torres scores with a sloppy right hand. Khan should have avoided that one.

Khan darts in and clinches Torres up against the cage.
Khan pushes Torres back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Khan working hard to break the clinch.
Come on Khan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Torres really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Torres takes a shot to the head.
Torres has a couple of punches blocked by Khan.
Torres has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Khan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Torres keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Khan's efforts to push away.
Khan is trying to push Torres away but Torres has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Khan scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Khan has had enough of the clinch but Torres keeps him there for the moment.
Khan prevents Torres from breaking the clinch.

Torres connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Khan misses with a shot to the body
and Torres counters with a nice leg kick.
Khan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Khan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Khan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Torres needs to keep his hands up - Khan had a free shot at his head there.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Torres.
Khan avoids the body shot from Torres.
Torres pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Khan moves into range and clinches up with Torres.
Torres is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Khan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Torres tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Khan smiles and moves away.

Torres throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Khan.

Khan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Torres ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Torres uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Khan.
Torres misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kangas Khan dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A punch combination from Torres misses.
Khan slips a jab and a cross from Torres.
Kangas Khan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Torres is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Khan.
Khan looks to land a left hand but Torres moved out of range nicely.

Miguel Torres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khan drives through and clinches with Torres against the cage.
Khan throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Khan is trying to break the clinch but Torres is controlling him.

Torres jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khan walks away with a smile on his face. Torres gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Torres misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Torres lands with a slapping head kick.
Khan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Torres jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khan walks away with a smile on his face. Torres gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Khan lands a really nice looking cross but Torres seems unphased.
Torres misses with a head kick.
Torres misses with the combination.
Khan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Torres.
Torres throws a sloppy head kick and Khan moves out of range easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Torres back to the cage. Khan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Khan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A solid leg kick lands there for Torres.
Khan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Oooooh!!! Khan has knocked Torres down with a huge combo! Khan steps away and waves a wobbly Torres back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Torres is rocked!
Khan throws a lazy right hand but Torres sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Khan clinches up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Torres has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Torres tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Khan smiles and moves away.
Torres is looking to slow Khan down with leg kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kangas Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

A frustrated look appears on Khan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Khan stops a takedown attempt from Torres.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Khan as Torres tries to tie him up.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Torres tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Khan just stands there and leans against the cage.

Khan manages to break the clinch.
Khan avoids the head kick by Torres.
Torres walks into a left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Khan instigates a clinch.
Khan stalling.
Torres tries to break free but Khan pushes him back against the cage.
Torres tries to pull guard but Khan won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Torres. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khan presses Torres against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Khan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Khan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Torres is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Khan.
Torres displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Khan throws out the jab.

Khan digs a right hand underneath Torres's ribcage. Torres let out a lung full of air as it connected.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Khan digs a right hand into Torres's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Torres's gas tank.
Torres jumps guard but Khan stands there with Torres around his waist. Torres gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Torres is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Torres tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Khan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Khan works on Torres's body with a couple of short punches.
Miguel Torres has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Khan scores with a hook to the body.
Khan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Torres tries to pull guard but Khan holds him up against the cage and eventually Torres drops back down to his feet.
Torres's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Khan is trying to force a seperation but Torres has the dominant position.
Khan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kangas Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Khan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
