The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pterradactlson fails with the takedown.
Pterradactlson throws a sloppy head kick and Assante moves out of range easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Assante.
Pterradactlson fails to land the takedown.
A chopping leg kick lands by Assante.

Pterradactlson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Assante is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Assante pushes Pterradactlson off looking to stand but Pterradactlson dives back in and keeps control.
Assante wants to control but Pterradactlson is keeping busy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Assante lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Pterradactlson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Pterradactlson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Assante throws out a leg kick but Pterradactlson moves out of range and Assante only half commits.
Pterradactlson closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Assante! Pterradactlson dives in looking to finish! Assante is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
