Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez wants to clinch up but Gage keeps it at a distance.
Velasquez throws a head kick that misses
and Gage counters with a low kick, right behind Velasquez 's knee.
Gage misses with a few strikes there.
Velasquez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gage as he jumps to the side.
Velasquez moves to clinch but Gage breaks away

and Gage counters with a head kick that drops Velasquez to the mat! Velasquez scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Velasquez is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Velasquez doesn't manage to clinch there - Gage circles away.
BOOM! Gage lands a beautiful left hook that drops Velasquez. Velasquez tries to recover but Gage is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Velasquez lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stan Gage!
