The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grubbs throws a low kick but Vega moves out of range easily.
Grubbs with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Grubbs chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Vega misses with an uppercut.
Grubbs tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Vega checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Seymour Grubbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vega connects with a looping right hand.
Vega tries for a takedown but Grubbs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Grubbs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Vega throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Grubbs lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Grubbs throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Vega shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vega showed some decent athleticism there.

Vega is looking for a kimura but Grubbs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vega to get the leverage.
Vega takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vega slips a nice elbow through Grubbs's hands, connecting with Grubbs's forehead.
