Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flash Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Digger Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mcgee's choice of entrance music: Carmina Burana. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mcgee lands a nice uppercut.
Gordon is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Gordon is looking to control Mcgee's arms but Mcgee gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gordon has his back to the cage.
Mcgee tries to work over Gordon's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mcgee misses with a short punch on the inside.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Gordon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mcgee backwards.
Gordon tries a body shot but Mcgee blocks it.

Mcgee is trying to push Gordon away but Gordon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Mcgee is looking to break free of the clinch but Gordon has double underhooks.

Mcgee goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Gordon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mcgee manages to avoid it.
Mcgee blocks a head kick by Gordon.

Mcgee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gordon's half guard.

Mcgee uses his free foot to push down on Gordon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gordon.
Mcgee trying to control but Gordon is having none of it.
Gordon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mcgee fails to advance to Gordon's back.
Gordon tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Mcgee wants to take Gordon's back here but Gordon is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Mcgee jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gordon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gordon and Mcgee has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gordon tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gordon is not content to let Mcgee control the position.
Gordon is trying to control Mcgee's posture but Mcgee avoids it.
Gordon is looking to regain half guard here but Mcgee keeps moving and retains side control.
Gordon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mcgee off and has taken his back!
Gordon lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Gordon cracks Mcgee with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Mcgee from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
