Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryuhaku Todoh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Colby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryuhaku Todoh could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Darren Colby's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Ryuhaku Todoh has been cut.
Colby lands with a nice body punch.

Todoh closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Colby to the mat! Colby manages to get full guard.
Colby is looking to stand up but Todoh isn't so interested in that idea.
Todoh not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Todoh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Colby for as long as he can get away with.

Colby takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Colby lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Colby keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Todoh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Colby fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Todoh throws a head kick but Colby moves out of range.

Todoh takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Colby connects with a body shot that sends Todoh's belly button to the back.

Colby bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oh Todoh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Todoh gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Colby gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darren Colby!

Darren Colby decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
