The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Crazy fails with a takedown attempt.
Shlemenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Crazy shoots in for a double leg but Shlemenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Crazy shoots in for a takedown but Shlemenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Crazy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crazy shoots in but Shlemenko avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shlemenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crazy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Shlemenko works over Crazy's head and body with a nice combination.
Shlemenko is looking to chop away at Crazy's legs.

Crazy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shlemenko did well to prevent Crazy getting side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Crazy wants to control but Shlemenko is keeping him busy.

Shlemenko holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Crazy tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Crazy pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Crazy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shlemenko manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shlemenko parries the strikes from Crazy easily there. Crazy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Shlemenko to escape.

Crazy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shlemenko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Crazy has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Crazy working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Shlemenko turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Crazy off and cradles Shlemenko's limp body as Crazy celebrates with his corner.
