Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andry Nikol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and D J Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, D J Benn!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikol jabs Benn right on the nose. Benn blinks but takes it well.
Nikol ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Benn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Benn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nikol is fending him off so far but Benn persists. Nope, Nikol circles away and we're back to standing.
Benn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Benn tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Nikol counters by clinching up.

Nikol breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Benn has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like D J Benn has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nikol slaps away a takedown attempt from Benn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Andry Nikol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of D J Benn.
Nikol cracks Benn with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Benn is rocked!
Benn misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Nikol has cracked Benn with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Nikol lands another huge swinging hook and Benn tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Benn, before Nikol can land any more shots!
