Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Noke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Keats (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Noke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Keats!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noke is looking to chop away at Keats's legs.
Keats checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Noke gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Noke looking to slow down the pace here.
Noke tries to land knees in the clinch but Keats avoids the damage to the body.
Keats is trying to drag Noke to the mat but Noke just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A nice left hand lands by Noke.
Noke throws a punch but it's blocked by Keats.
Noke being controlled against the cage.
Noke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Keats walks away with a smile on his face. Noke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Noke throws a head kick but Keats moves out of range.
Noke throws a sloppy head kick and Keats moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Noke tries to keep at a distance but Keats has taken the fight into the clinch.
Keats gets through Noke's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Come on Noke - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Noke wants a takedown but no success here.
Keats tries for a takedown. No joy.

Keats drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Noke drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Keats dives on top into guard.

Noke throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Keats stands and steps away. Noke gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Keats shoots in and drives through. Noke sprawls well.
Kyle Noke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Keats.
Noke stuffs the takedown.

Keats throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Noke tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Keats is in Noke's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Keats stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Keats misses with a wild body shot.
Keats with a poor takedown
and Noke counters with a nice body shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Noke, right into the meat.
Noke will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Keats takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Noke misses with a series of wild punches.
Noke is breathing heavily.
Sloppy strikes from Noke. Those never looked like landing.

Keats closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Keats dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Keats receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Keats lands a body punch in the clinch.

Keats pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Noke lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Keats avoids the body shot from Noke.
Noke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Keats defends it nicely.
Noke throws a head kick that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Keats has a takedown stuffed.
Keats has a takedown stuffed.
Noke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Keats sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Keats wants to clinch up but Noke keeps it at a distance.
Noke fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Keats avoids it really well and circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Noke looks to land a right hand but Keats moved out of range.
Noke pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jim Keats will probably get the nod.

Noke keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice uppercut there from Noke.
Noke throws an overhand right that lands on Keats's shoulder, as Keats tries to avoid the shot.
Kyle Noke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Noke throws a sloppy body shot

and Keats counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Noke!
Noke is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Keats looking to finish Noke with some ground and pound. This is bad for Noke!
Keats trying to control but Noke is having none of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Keats looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Keats looking to secure an arm triangle but Noke defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Keats controlling the position easily from mount.
Keats thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Noke regains half guard.
Keats not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Keats seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Noke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Keats is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Noke working to try and regain half guard.

Keats looking to control but Noke is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Keats is working for a guillotine from mount but Noke frees his head quite easily.
Noke blocking the ground and pound.
Noke is in all sorts of trouble here.

Keats is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Noke can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jim Keats has got the better of the ground game so far.
Noke keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Keats is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Noke to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Noke shrugs it off.

Keats is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Noke throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Noke on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Keats. Keats obviously looking to wear him down.
Keats tries to clinch up.
Noke is looking to chop away at Keats's legs.

Noke throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Danga de danga de dang - Keats scores with a four punch combination!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Noke attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Keats throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Keats ducks under a wild hook from Noke.
Keats shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Noke defends it nicely.
Keats has a takedown stuffed.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Noke misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Keats.
Keats jabbing away but nothing is landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Keats showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Noke keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kyle Noke is winning the standup battle so far.
Noke throws a series of punches but Keats avoids them all with ease.
Keats tries to clinch but Noke is having none of it.
Noke tries to close the distance and clinch but Keats swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Noke tries for a takedown but Keats sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Noke stuffs the takedown attempt from Keats. Keats gets slowly back to his feet.
Keats misses with a takedown attempt - Noke sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kyle Noke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Keats.
Noke throws a leg kick but Keats checks it.
Keats blocks a head kick by Noke.

Noke drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Keats keeping moving, preventing Noke from controlling successfully.
Noke throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Keats wants to stand up but Noke is controlling him.
Keats looking to hit a scissor sweep but Noke is one step ahead there.
Keats lands a decent punch to the body there.
Keats managing to control the position.

Noke wants to control from the top but Keats keeps moving.
Keats wants to sweep here but Noke controlling him for the moment.
Keats manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Noke is looking to get to half guard.

Keats tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Noke is trying to escape the mount.
Keats thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Keats controlling the position easily from mount.
Keats lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Noke hang on?
Kyle Noke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Noke tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Keats tries to control but Noke wriggling away.
Keats putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Noke really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Keats jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Noke manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Noke is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Keats asserts his dominance and retains side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jim Keats.
I've got Keats winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
