Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Codi Gale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Umberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gale comes to the cage accompanied by Gravity kills - Guilty. Umberto has chosen Perry Como - Magic Moments as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gale works the jab nicely.
Gale looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gale slips a straight right by Umberto.
Umberto pushes Gale up against the cage in a clinch.
Gale pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Gale landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Umberto stalling in the clinch but Gale improves position.
Umberto drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gale pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gale lands with a straight right. Umberto didn't see that one coming.

Umberto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gale paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Umberto shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Gale misses with a hook. Umberto ducked under it nicely.
Gale rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Umberto counters with a takedown into side control.
Umberto cracks Gale with a big elbow.
Umberto swings around for an armbar but Gale sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Umberto's guard.
Umberto has control of Gale's left arm, preventing Gale from doing any damage.
Umberto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gale manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Umberto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gale swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Umberto on the ground.

Umberto makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gale on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gale tries to get out of the position.

Umberto misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Umberto goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gale has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Umberto but great work by Gale.

Gale remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Gale connects with a right hand. Umberto shakes it off.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gale. That's going to slow Umberto down.
Gale fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Umberto on the side of the head.

Gale feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Umbertos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gale will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gale lands a really nice looking cross but Umberto seems unphased.
Gale is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Gale thuds his right hand into Umberto's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Nice uppercut lands for Gale. That snapped Umberto's head back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Umberto takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gale throws a front kick that sends Umberto stumbling back into the cage.
Gale has closed the distance and engaged Umberto in a clinch.

Umberto tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gale smiles and moves away.

Gale uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Umberto.
