Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thales Leites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samat Gaziev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samat Gaziev will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaziev throws a combination. Leites tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Gaziev tries to sprawl but Leites drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Leites is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Gaziev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leites. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Leites has hold of Gaziev's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gaziev manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
