Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paz Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Einar Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paz Silva!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Einar Lee!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silva misses the shot to the body.
Lee throws a head kick that Silva semi-blocks.


It looks like Paz Silva has been cut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lee.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Silva seems a little lost for a moment, as Lee dominates the positioning.

Einar Lee has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Lee slips a jab from Silva.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva throws an ugly left hook that misses

so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Lee is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Lee controls from within his opponent's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Einar Lee hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva throws a sloppy body shot
and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lee plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


Silva is rocked!
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it.
Silva connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lee's hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva misses with an uppercut
and Lee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Silva is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Lee counters with a right hand to the body.
Silva is breathing heavily.

and Lee counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Lee wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Lee persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.
Lee is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silva lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lee throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Lee drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.
Silva is trying to force a seperation but Lee has the dominant position.

Lee is trying to trip Silva. He has hold of a leg but Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lee persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Einar Lee wasn't active enough on the ground.

Lee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lee postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Silva is being controlled here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard.

Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.

Lee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Paz Silva wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Lee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Let's hope that Lee has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
