Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake The Powerhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Powerhouse bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The Powerhouse thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wilder tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Wilder manages to work his way to half guard, despite The Powerhouse's best efforts.
Wilder tries to roll over but The Powerhouse keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with The Powerhouse in particular looking to stall.
The Powerhouse wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilder keeps working.
Wilder slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Wilder gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The Powerhouse controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Wilder has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Powerhouse can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wilder lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for The Powerhouse!
Wilder takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wilder is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. The Powerhouse has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Wilder has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! The Powerhouse taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Wilder doesn't care though - he's delighted!
