Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucifer Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Weapon of Choice blaring out of the sound system. Ruoska is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sympathy for the Devil. Lucifer Jones has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruoska dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ruoska shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ruoska throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.
Ruoska throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ruoska checks a leg kick.
Jones moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Ruoska tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Jones looks to land a combination but Ruoska avoids it well.
Ruoska scores with the left hand. Jones knows he should have avoided that one.

Jones stuns Ruoska with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ruoska is defended easily by Jones.
Jones thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ruoska if he has to take too many more of those.
Ruoska gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ruoska on the side of the head.

A good leg kick by Jones.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Ruoska throws a lazy uppercut
and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ruoska misses the body punch
and Jones counters with a good low kick that Ruoska was not able to check.

Ruoska throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ruoska just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ruoska looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ruoska throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Ruoska rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ruoska thinking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ruoska shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
Lucifer Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mauri Ruoska.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ruoska has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jones scores with a decent looking hook.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Ruoska. Ruoska gets slowly back to his feet.
Ruoska walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Jones connects with a leg kick. Ruoska looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ruoska is breathing heavily.
Ruoska gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Jones gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
