Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy NoMates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by RAWR. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NoMates fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brown, pushing him back against the cage.
Brown is fighting off a takedown attempt but NoMates is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Brown to the mat. Brown regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
NoMates decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brown, up you get!
NoMates moves out of range of the body kick from Brown.
NoMates lands with an overhand left.
NoMates misses with a wild combination.

NoMates stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and NoMates wants it to stay on the feet.
Brown ducks right into an uppercut from NoMates.
NoMates connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brown momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
NoMates lands with a cross.
NoMates closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - NoMates lands in his opponent's guard.
NoMates trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

NoMates postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of NoMates, into his guard.
NoMates had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brown defends it easily.
Brown scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now NoMates is on top in guard.
NoMates wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.
NoMates is looking to stand up but Brown won't let him.

Brown looking to control but NoMates passes into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brown is defending against the submission attempts here by NoMates.
Brown is looking for a sweep. NoMates is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
NoMates is working for a kimura but Brown is defending it quite comfortably.
NoMates decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

NoMates scores with a takedown into Brown's guard.
NoMates has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brown is proving hard to escape from.

Brown keeping moving, preventing NoMates from controlling successfully.
NoMates decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
NoMates is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brown's half guard.
Brown tries to roll over but NoMates keeps him under control.

NoMates is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
NoMates wants to stand but Brown has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
NoMates wants to work for an arm triangle but Brown is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
NoMates seems to be looking for submissions.
Brown wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy NoMates dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brown shoots in but NoMates avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brown closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into NoMates's guard.
NoMates working for submissions but it's allowed Brown to get to half guard.
NoMates looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Brown is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
NoMates has one foot on Brown's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
NoMates closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage.
Brown has NoMates pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. NoMates manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Brown has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. NoMates is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.

NoMates escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Billy NoMates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
NoMates shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Brown tries to reverse the position but NoMates maintains control.
NoMates is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Brown is forced to tap! Great finish!
