Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grigor Ashubaragan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gibbs McGoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ashubaragan comes into the arena with RAMMSTEIN - Du Hast blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grigor Ashubaragan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gibbs McGoo!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashubaragan misses with a body kick.
Ashubaragan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ashubaragan fakes the leg kick and cracks McGoo in the body.
Ashubaragan fails with an attempt to clinch.
McGoo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ashubaragan manages to avoid it.
McGoo lunges at Ashubaragan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ashubaragan's hand.
Ashubaragan doesn't manage to clinch there - McGoo circles away.
Ashubaragan throws a right hand that McGoo ducks under and follows up with a left that McGoo also avoids with ease.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ashubaragan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ashubaragan misses with a few strikes there.
Ashubaragan misses with a double jab.
Grigor Ashubaragan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGoo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ashubaragan under the eye.
A head kick misses from Ashubaragan.

Ashubaragan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGoo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ashubaragan was well out of range. Poor timing from McGoo.
McGoo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ashubaragan staying out of range there.
Ashubaragan takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Ashubaragan gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McGoo tries a body shot but Ashubaragan blocks it.
McGoo lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A right handed body shot lands from McGoo.
McGoo can't break the clinch.
McGoo pushes Ashubaragan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGoo scores with an uppercut up the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGoo tries to work over Ashubaragan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
McGoo lands a hook that snaps the head of Ashubaragan backwards.

McGoo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McGoo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McGoo.


It looks like Grigor Ashubaragan has been cut.
McGoo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McGoo clobbers Ashubaragan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
McGoo lands with a right hand.
Ashubaragan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ashubaragan is breathing heavily.
Ashubaragan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ashubaragan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGoo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
McGoo digs a good body shot into Ashubaragan's ribs.
McGoo jabs Ashubaragan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McGoo thuds his right hand into Ashubaragan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
McGoo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ashubaragan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGoo lands a slapping body shot.
Ashubaragan drops his hands momentarily and McGoo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
McGoo cracks Ashubaragan with an open hand slap.
Ashubaragan misses with a double jab

and McGoo counters with a crisp right hand that drops Ashubaragan! McGoo lets Ashubaragan back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Ashubaragan is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McGoo goes for a small jab and connects. Now McGoo goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Ashubaragan stumbles back but McGoo runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Ashubaragan to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Ashubaragan will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gibbs McGoo!
