The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans closes the distance but Wallace moves to the side

and Wallace moves into the clinch.
Evans looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Wallace stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Wallace pulls guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wallace has Evans pulled in close to control his posture.
Let's hope that Wallace has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Evans trying to control but Wallace is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Shaquille Wallace.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evans as he avoids it easily.
Wallace should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Nice uppercut there from Evans.

Oooooh!!! Evans has knocked Wallace down with a huge combo! Evans steps away and waves a wobbly Wallace back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Wallace is rocked!

It looks like Shaquille Wallace has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Evans tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wallace paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wallace is still on wobbly legs! Can Evans finish him?
Evans is looking to clinch.
Wallace seems to have recovered his senses.
Evans misses with a series of wild punches.

Evans lands a big uppercut and Wallace crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Wallace looks OK. Evans waves Wallace back to his feet!
Wallace avoids the head kick by Evans.
Evans lands a front kick.
Wallace looks gassed!
Wallace is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That has opened up Shaquille Wallace's cut even more.
Evans tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Evans throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wallace.

Evans lands a right hook to the body.
Evans ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Evans lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Evans lands a left and a right that send Wallace crashing to the mat, dazed. Evans thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Evans is looking to clinch but Wallace is avoiding it.
Evans drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Wallace's head, knocking him out cold! Evans is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
