The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato stuffs the takedown attempt from Craig. Craig gets slowly back to his feet.
Craig tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sato counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Craig throws a leg kick that misses.
Sato throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Craig tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sato swivels and escapes.
Craig throws a right hand that Sato ducks under and follows up with a left that Sato also avoids with ease.
Sato ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Craig moves away.
Craig lands with a right hand.
Craig fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Craig. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Craig lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sato looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Craig!

Sato is landing with some decent strikes but Craig is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
