Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Tokito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Gallo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gallo has chosen Herbalist (Remix) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gabriel Tokito has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tokito keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tokito throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tokito has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tokito pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Tokito keeping full guard, as Gallo tries to pass.
Tokito is trying to keep Gallo in close.

Tokito is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gallo defends well.
Gallo trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tokito's guard.

Tokito controls Gallo momentarily but Gallo frees himself.
Gallo wants to control from the top but Tokito keeps moving.

Gallo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Tokito decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gallo's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gallo looks gassed!

Gallo manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Tokito shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gallo as he jumps to the side.
Gallo moves in looking to clinch but Tokito pushes him off.

Gallo shoots in and gets a takedown into Tokito's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tokito is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gallo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tokito is proving hard to escape from.
Tokito pulls Gallo in close to prevent any damage.

Gallo trying to control the position from guard on top but Tokito is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tokito throws a wild body kick that Gallo sees coming a mile off.

Tokito scores with a takedown into Gallo's guard.
Tokito stays in close to Gallo's body and controls the position.
Gallo wants to stand up but Tokito is controlling him.

Gallo is working an open guard so Tokito takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Tokito decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gabriel Tokito.
Gallo dives in and grabs Tokito's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tokito pushes down on Gallo's head and hops out.
Gabriel Tokito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Gallo.

Tokito closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gallo quickly recovers to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tokito misses with a few strikes there.
Gallo fails with the takedown.
Gallo shoots in looking for a takedown. Tokito tries to sprawl out of it but Gallo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tokito manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tokito fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gallo manages to avoid it.
Tokito shoots for a double leg takedown but Gallo sprawls well. He's pushed Tokito's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gallo blocks a head kick by Tokito.
Tokito works over Gallo's head and body with a nice combination.
Tokito dives in and grabs Gallo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gallo pushes down on Tokito's head and hops out.

Gallo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gallo is trying to get an arm triangle but Tokito is defending well.

Tokito tries to improve position but can't.
Gallo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Tokito isn't going anywhere.

Gallo looking to control but instead Tokito has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Gallo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Gallo is sitting in close to Tokito's body. Tokito has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Gallo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Gallo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tokito.
