Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jerry Mouse has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jerry Mouse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jim Beam!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mouse enables Beam to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mouse manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Beam throwing strikes from guard but Mouse blocks nicely.
Beam wants to control from the top but Mouse keeps moving.
Beam stands up over Mouse, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Beam pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mouse is keeping the position for now.

Mouse looking for a guillotine here but Beam defends easily.

Beam lands a couple of elbows.

Mouse is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beam defends well.

Mouse has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beam can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mouse utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Mouse is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beam is aware though and is defending well.
Mouse can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Beam controls the pace.
Beam distracts Mouse with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Beam must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Beam trying to control the position from guard on top but Mouse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Beam thows a big elbow that misses.
Beam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Beam's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Beam is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Mouse might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mouse is looking for a triangle but Beam pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Beam keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mouse's head.

Beam is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mouse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Beam working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mouse's head.

Beam got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mouse has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beam has managed to get both his arms back between Mouse's legs - danger averted.

Beam lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Beam postures up and lands a big shot to Mouse's brow.
Beam lands a couple of digs.


Mouse is rocked!
Beam slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Oh Mouse is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mouse has momentary wrist control but Beam slips an elbow through the middle.
Beam scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Mouse has his foot on Beam's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beam works his way back into a safe position though.
Beam gets to his feet and stands over Mouse, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Mouse felt that one! Beam unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Mouse from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Beam!
