Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allen comes to the cage accompanied by On In Five - BoySetsFire. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Connors!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen wants to clinch but Connors slips to the side
and Connors counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Connors throws a hook but Allen blocks it.
Connors throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Allen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Connors is defended easily by Allen.
Connors circles away from the clinch attempt.
Connors misses with a takedown attempt - Allen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Connors changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Allen tries to avoid it but Connors manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Allen to the ground. Allen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dave Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Connors.
Connors misses with a combination
and Allen counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A clash of legs there as Connors blocks the low kick.

Horrible takedown by Connors or perhaps it was just good defense by Allen which made him look bad.
Dave Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allen throws a looping overhand right but Connors ducks down to avoid it.
Allen dives in and grabs Connors's left leg, looking for a takedown. Connors pushes down on Allen's head and hops out.
Allen misses with a series of wild punches.

Connors lands a really nice looking cross but Allen seems unphased.
Allen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Allen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Allen looks to throw the jab but Connors is out of range.

Allen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Connors has time to react.
Allen tries to clinch there but Connors circles away.
Allen takes a swing at Connors's ribcage but misses.
Allen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Connors rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Allen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Allen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Connors counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Connors blocks a low kick nicely.
Connors misses with a jab, cross combination.
Good standup being displayed there by Allen as he connects with a hook.
Connors slips a jab and a cross from Allen.
Allen throws a right and a left that Connors avoids nicely.

Allen tries to clinch there but Connors circles away.
Connors walks into a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No joy there for Allen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Connors looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Connors misses with a hook. Allen ducked under it nicely.
Allen tries to clinch but Connors is having none of it.
Connors is trying hard to land a takedown here. Allen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Allen connects with a body shot.
Allen sizes up Connors with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Allen lands a nice looking body shot.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch but Connors swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Connors will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Allen is looking to clinch.
Connors is trying desperately to land a takedown but Allen is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Connors.
Allen misses with a series of wild punches.
Connors keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Connors avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Connors takes a kick to the side of the head.
Allen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Connors circles away quickly and effectively.
Connors shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Allen tries to clinch but Connors is having none of it.
Allen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Allen wants it to stay on the feet.
Connors looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Allen is fending him off so far but Connors persists. Nope, Allen circles away and we're back to standing.

Connors throws a nice looking combination but Allen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Allen lands with a nice body punch.

Allen pushes Connors up against the cage in a clinch.
Allen stops a takedown attempt from Connors.
Allen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Connors's defenses.

Allen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Allen cracks Connors with a good jab.

Connors gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Allen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Allen throws a combination that misses
and Connors counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Connors closes this distance looking for a takedown but Allen circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Allen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Connors throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Connors keeps the fight on the outside.
Allen lands with a nice combination. Connors backs away looking to recover.
Allen lands a big head kick that sends Connors to the canvas! Allen follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
