Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikio Okita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Eastmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eastmond comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nelly- Here Comes The Boom kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikio Okita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Ryan Eastmond!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okita throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Eastmond tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Okita is in Eastmond's guard.

Eastmond is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Okita is aware though and is defending well.
Okita wants to pass the guard but Eastmond is keeping the position.
Okita passes Eastmond's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Okita is looking for a kimura here.

Okita is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Eastmond has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Okita is pressing down on Eastmond's thigh, looking to free his foot. Eastmond is holding on for now.
Okita passes to side control.
Okita advances nicely into full mount.
Okita looking to control but Eastmond is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Okita thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Eastmond is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Okita dominating with strikes here.
Okita postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Eastmond looks a forlorn figure.


It looks like Ryan Eastmond has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Okita cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Okita sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Okita has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Eastmond wants to get back to his feet.

Okita is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Eastmond to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Eastmond shrugs it off.
Okita landing punches.

Okita takes Eastmond's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Eastmond is in trouble.
Okita controlling well, preventing Eastmond from escaping the position.

Okita looking to break Eastmond's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Eastmond remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Okita will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Okita working for a choke but Eastmond is defending well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Okita lands with a hook. Eastmond tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Okita shoots and misses
and Eastmond counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Eastmond keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Okita works the jab nicely.
Nice defenses there by Eastmond.
A swing and a miss from Eastmond.
Okita defending well as Eastmond loads up on a big left hand.

Okita looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Eastmond is fending him off so far but Okita persists. Nope, Eastmond circles away and we're back to standing.
Ryan Eastmond is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Okita keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Eastmond.
Okita dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Eastmond misses with an uppercut. Okita saw that one coming.
Okita fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikio Okita. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Okita bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Eastmond dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Okita. That did some damage!
Eastmond on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Eastmond fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Okita manages to avoid it.

Okita takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Okita throws a hook to the side of Eastmond's head but Eastmond sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Eastmond scores with a body shot.
Okita tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Eastmond was well out of range. Poor timing from Okita.
Eastmond walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Okita throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ryan Eastmond is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Okita swings for the body but Eastmond moves out of range.
Okita lands a slapping body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Okita is trying hard to land a takedown here. Eastmond sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Okita steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Eastmond. That one must have hurt.
Eastmond misses with a series of wild punches.
Eastmond misses with a double jab.
Eastmond throws a nice looking combination but Okita bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Okita ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Eastmond moves away.
Eastmond lands a jab.
Eastmond with a nice cross.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Okita closes this distance looking for a takedown but Eastmond circles away.
Eastmond throws a head kick but Okita moves out of range.

Eastmond gets caught flat footed, as Okita shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okita passes into half guard.
Eastmond is staying active underneath Okita, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Okita is looking to advance position but Eastmond won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Eastmond wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ryan Eastmond will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on Ryan Eastmond's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Okita throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Eastmond lands with an uppercut that bounces Okita off the cage and back into range.
Ryan Eastmond seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Eastmond looks to land a combination but Okita avoids it well.
Eastmond connects with a solid leg kick.
Eastmond walks into a stiff left hand from Okita.
Okita uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Eastmond.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Eastmond.
Eastmond misses with a leg kick
and Okita connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Eastmond swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Okita counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Eastmond is not content to let Okita control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Okita looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Eastmond gets back to full guard.
Eastmond wants to get back to his feet but Okita is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Okita wants to pass the guard but Eastmond is keeping the position.
Eastmond is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Okita dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Okita lands a few punches from side control.
Eastmond is not content to let Okita control the position.

Okita tries for a kimura but Eastmond is defending well.

Okita working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Eastmond tries to buck Okita off but Okita is having none of it.
Eastmond is not content to let Okita control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Okita swings around for an armbar but Eastmond sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Okita's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mikio Okita showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Okita has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mikio Okita decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
