Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lebron James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Rick Rozay - MC Hammer. Benton has chosen Hatebreed - Live for this as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lebron James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glenn Benton!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benton misses with a shot to the body
and James counters with a straight right hand.

James gets a takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
James scoring with strikes to the body and head.
James lands strikes from half guard.
James looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Benton is pressing down on James's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
James throws a strike but Benton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Benton wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
James looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Benton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
James has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Benton has passed into side control.
James tries to buck Benton off but Benton is having none of it.
The ground and pound from Benton seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Benton in side control, throwing shots but James defends.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
James tries to escape but Benton is in control.
James managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Benton.
Benton misses with the ground and pound.
The referee asks Benton politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Benton prefers to stall for the moment though.
Benton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
James tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Benton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

James is not content to let Benton control the position.
James is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Benton has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Benton trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom.
Benton tries to move into full mount but can't pass James's legs.
James pushes Benton away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Benton gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
James struggling a bit here.
James dodges the ground and pound from Benton.
Benton tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Benton throws a strike aimed at the side of James's head but James avoids it well.
Benton trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Benton lands a few punches from side control.
Benton throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Benton is trying to ground and pound but James uses the momentary lack of control by Benton to regain half guard.
Still in half guard, Benton seems content to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James wants to control but Benton is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Glenn Benton will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Benton misses with the combination.
James avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Benton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Benton throws a one two combo.
Lebron James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
James is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
James fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
James finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Benton's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and James falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Glenn Benton!
