Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cole Trickle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Funkyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funkyama has chosen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aoki Funkyama!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trickle checks a leg kick.
Funkyama connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Trickle's hands.
It looks like Cole Trickle has been cut.
Funkyama jabs at Trickle's body.
Funkyama fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Trickle swinging wildly here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Trickle.
Funkyama leaves Trickle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Funkyama dodges the punch combination from Trickle.
Trickle shoots and misses
and Funkyama connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cole Trickle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trickle is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Funkyama comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Trickle moves out of range of the body kick from Funkyama.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Funkyama drops Trickle with a beautiful combination! Trickle stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Funkyama is looking for the KO!
Funkyama lands a nice shot to the body.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Trickle. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Trickle with a lazy takedown attempt
and Funkyama scores with a counter punch that sends Trickle to the canvas! Funkyama smells blood - he's punishing Trickle with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Trickle has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aoki Funkyama!
