Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Aerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hits From The Bong. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aerts swivels and escapes.
Aerts works Bong's body with a nice hook.
Bong misses with a takedown attempt - Aerts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Aerts chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Aerts scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bong doesn't seem bothered though.
Bong steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Aerts. That one must have hurt.
Bong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aerts as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Bong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bong closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aerts circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bong on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Aerts is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like The Bong has been cut.

Aerts moves into range and clinches up with Bong.
Aerts comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Bong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aerts is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bong is breathing heavily.
Aerts crunches a lovely knee into Bong's ribcage.

Aerts lands an elbow inside that Bong shrugs off.

Aerts breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Aerts prevents a takedown attempt there.

Aerts's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The Bong's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Bong gets tackled into the cage by Aerts. Aerts maintains the clinch.
Bong drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aerts gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bong has Aerts pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bong pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Aerts tumbling to the mat - Bong dives into Aerts's guard.
Aerts looking for a sweep. Not yet Aerts, not yet.
Aerts wants to stand and escape but Bong is having none of it.
Bongis looking to pass into half guard but Aerts pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Aerts is in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aerts not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Peter Aerts.
Bong moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bong is defended easily by Aerts.

Aerts takes the fight into the clinch.

Jeez, The Bong's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
