Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yance Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Shears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett comes to the cage accompanied by Vato. Shears has chosen Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shears misses with a wild combination.
Sackett just misses with a punch to the body.
Shears tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Shears uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sackett.
Shears on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sackett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Shears checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Sackett lands with a cross.
Sackett goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sackett.
Sackett feints and then cracks Shears's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shears down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shears shoots in but Sackett avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shears loads up on a big right hand but Sackett slips the punch.
Sackett wants to clinch.
Sackett lands a body shot.
Sackett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shears.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shears fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sackett loads up on a big right hand but Shears slips the punch.
Shears blocks the body kick.
Sackett lands a front kick.
Shears moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sackett throws a quick inside leg kick.
Yance Sackett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shears looks gassed!
Sackett scoring well with a low kick there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sackett, right into the meat.
Sackett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sackett dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shears. That did some damage!
Shears on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sackett lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sackett digs a good body shot into Shears's ribs.
Sackett misses the jab.
Sackett throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sackett lands a jab to Shears's midsection.
Sackett lands a leg kick that knocks Shears off balance momentarily.
A telegraphed right hand from Sackett misses the target.
Sackett lands with a cross.
Shears takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Shears drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sackett scores with a sloppy right hand. Shears should have avoided that one.
Sackett batters Shears with a massive right followed by a huge left! Shears is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Sackett lands a final crushing right hand to drop Shears to the mat with a gruesome thud! Sackett is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Yance Sackett!
