Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alves shoots in and drives through. Nascimento sprawls well.
Nascimento looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nascimento throws a right and a left that both miss.

Alves tries for a takedown but Nascimento sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nascimento tries to bum rush Alves with a series of wild strikes but Alves uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nascimento paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Alves shoots in looking for a takedown but Nascimento manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alves's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Alves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Alves drops back looking for a leg! Nascimento is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nascimento manages to kick Alves off! Alves jumps back into Nascimento's guard.
Nascimento wants to stand and escape but Alves is having none of it.
Alves slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Nascimento tries to escape but Alves is in control.
Alves is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nascimento is trying to escape and Alves transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nascimento is forced to tap! Nice work there by Alves! Very nice indeed!
