PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bret Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hart comes into the arena with Vertigo - U2 blaring out of the sound system. Palmer has chosen Not Now James,we're busy as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bret Hart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer tries for a takedown but Hart sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hart jabs Palmer right on the nose. Palmer blinks but takes it well.
Hart tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Palmer was well out of range. Poor timing from Hart.
Palmer fails to land the takedown.
Hart slaps away a takedown attempt from Palmer, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bret Hart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Palmer.
Hart thows a body shot but no joy.
Palmer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Palmer shoots in but Hart avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Palmer is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hart is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Palmer.
Palmer shoots in looking for a takedown. Hart tries to sprawl out of it but Palmer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Palmer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hart can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Palmer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hart stands up over Palmer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hart wants to land a leg kick but Palmer is out of range.

Hart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palmer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
