The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xenos cracks the inside of AtlaSon's front leg.

That was a close round but I would say that Stelios Xenos will probably get the nod.

AtlaSon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Xenos.

Xenos thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on AtlaSon if he has to take too many more of those.

Xenos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
AtlaSon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Xenos, right into the meat.
AtlaSon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by AtlaSon.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Xenos has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
