Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Mike Bob!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Velasquez defends it nicely.
Bob misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bob looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bob keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bob fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Velasquez with a nice cross.
Velasquez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Bob tries to close the distance and clinch but Velasquez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bob tries to clinch up but Velasquez circles away and keeps his distance.
Velasquez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bob doesn't seem bothered though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good standup being displayed there by Velasquez as he connects with a hook.
Velasquez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bob moves in looking to clinch but Velasquez pushes him off.

A combination from Velasquez does no damage.
Velasquez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Bob bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bob is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Bob scoring with punches and elbows.
Bob cracks Velasquez with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Bob thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Velasquez can't do much from the bottom here.
Velasquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Velasquez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Bob prevents Velasquez from improving his position.
Bob is pressing down on Velasquez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Velasquez is holding on for now.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bob has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Bob was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Velasquez digs a good body shot into Bob's ribs.
Velasquez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bob is looking to clinch but Velasquez is avoiding it.
Bob tries to move into range but Velasquez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Velasquez throws a good cross that connects.
Velasquez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Velasquez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Velasquez is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Bob like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Bob from another fist facial!
