Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demyan Arkhipov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arkhipov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Vitas - The Star. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Morris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arkhipov's waist but Arkhipov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morris off to one side.

Morris had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Arkhipov is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Morris Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Arkhipov's back instead.

Morris jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Arkhipov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Arkhipov and Morris has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Morris decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Arkhipov counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Morris scores with a one two! Arkhipov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Arkhipov misses with a takedown attempt - Morris sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Arkhipov rushes Morris and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Morris lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Arkhipov or not.

Jack Morris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Arkhipov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Morris is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Morris is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Arkhipov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Arkhipov's back!

Morris just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Demyan Arkhipov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Morris working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Arkhipov is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Morris has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Arkhipov taps out!
