Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lars Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Bag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araya comes to the cage accompanied by Tiger Army - Pain. Dee Bag will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lars Araya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dee Bag!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bag throws a series of punches but Araya avoids them all with ease.
Bag fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Araya moves out of range as Bag strikes.
Lars Araya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bag misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Araya tries to clinch there but Bag circles away.

Araya fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bag sprawls well initially but Araya persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Araya seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Araya's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bag trying to control here.
Bag wants to improve his position but Araya is controlling well.
Araya stalling.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bag trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Araya controlling the pace for now.
Araya has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Bag tries to lock up and control but Araya gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Araya controlling the position easily from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Araya wants to control but Bag has made it back to half guard. Nice work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Lars Araya just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Araya drives through and clinches with Bag against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Araya is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bag pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Araya prevents Bag from breaking the clinch.
Araya blocks a body shot from Bag.
Bag tries to break the clinch but Araya is controlling the position.
Bag prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lars Araya dominated that round.
That's time! Araya's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Araya shoots in but Bag avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Araya gets a takedown into half guard.
Bag is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Araya moves nicely into side control.
Bag is looking to reverse the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Araya lands a few punches from side control.
Araya remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Araya looking to control but instead Bag has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Bag wants to get back to his feet.

Bag is defending against the submission attempts here by Araya.

Bag kicks Araya off and gets back to his feet.
Bag is breathing heavily.

Bag stuffs the takedown attempt from Araya. Araya gets slowly back to his feet.
Bag shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Araya buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Araya fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lars Araya. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Araya shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Araya controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Araya could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bag trying to keep a closed guard but Araya is proving a slippery customer.

Araya gets to his feet - Bag follows without any prompting.
Bag throws a leg kick but Araya moved away.
Bag throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Araya shoots for a double leg takedown but Bag sprawls well. He's pushed Araya's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lars Araya dominated that second round.
That's time! Araya's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Araya darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bag wants to get back to full guard.
Araya keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Araya is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bag is staying active underneath Araya, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Araya wants to pass the guard but Bag is defending well.
Araya trying to control the action but Bag is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Araya throws a right and a left that Bag avoids nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bag misses with a series of wild punches.

Araya gets a takedown into half guard.
Araya controlling the action here.
Bag trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bag takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bag looks like he's trying to stand up.
Araya trying to advance position but Bag counters by regaining guard.
Araya is looking to advance position but Bag has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Bag trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bag manages to capitalize on a mistake by Araya to take his back!
Bag avoiding Araya 's attempts to control his hands.
Araya breaks Bag's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Dee Bag has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bag can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Araya controls the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lars Araya showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Araya, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
