Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jessie Villegas!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villegas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Villegas swings for the body but Liao moves out of range.
Liao shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Villegas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Liao shoots and misses
and Villegas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Villegas with a nice cross.
Villegas lands a jab to the nose.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Liao.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zhang Liao. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Liao shoots in but Villegas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Liao gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Liao doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Villegas finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Liao is breathing heavily.
Villegas throws a good cross that connects.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Villegas.
Villegas lands with a right that hurts Liao. Liao looks to clinch but Villegas throws a short knee that drops Liao. This one is all over!
