PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirby Jay Navarro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bass Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Navarro might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Knock you OUT. Rutten has chosen Pride as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bass Rutten is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kirby Jay Navarro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bass Rutten!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rutten gets a double leg takedown into Navarro's guard.
Rutten is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Navarro is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rutten slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Navarro trying to keep a closed guard but Rutten is proving a slippery customer.
Navarro could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rutten got a little sloppy there for a moment and Navarro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rutten has managed to get both his arms back between Navarro's legs - danger averted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Navarro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Navarro postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rutten is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Navarro, into his guard.

Let's hope that Rutten has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Rutten has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
