Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Helmut Doerner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maraco Draco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doerner comes to the cage accompanied by Rock you like a Hurricane by The Scorpions. Helmut Doerner has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Helmut Doerner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maraco Draco!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doerner forces Draco back against the cage and clinches.
Draco looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Doerner lands with a light punch inside.

Doerner breaks from the clinch.
Draco throws a leg kick
and Doerner counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Draco avoids the head kick by Doerner.
Some bone on bone action there as Doerner checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Doerner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Doerner wants to clinch.
Draco slips under a jab.
Draco attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Draco misses with a low kick.
Draco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Draco throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Doerner scores with a push kick.
Draco throws a sloppy body shot
and Doerner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Doerner's jab looks to have found its range, popping Draco under the eye.

Doerner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Doerner wants to stand but Draco has his arm trapped.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Draco can do anything to dispel that myth.
Draco is looking for a sweep.
Doerner wants to stand but Draco is controlling his arm.
Draco sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Draco wants to control but Doerner is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Draco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doerner working the head and body with strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doerner takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Draco tries to roll over but Doerner keeps him under control.
Draco is trying to control but Doerner manages to pass to mount!
Doerner is looking to stand but Doerner has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Draco is squirming around, avoiding Doerner's attempts to control the action.
Doerner prevents Draco from getting the reversal.
Draco is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Draco is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Doerner is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Draco misses with a body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Doerner misses with a looping right.
Doerner fails with a takedown attempt.
Doerner looks to land a combination but Draco avoids it well.
Doerner lands an overhand right.

Draco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Doerner on his heels. He'll look to pass Doerner's guard now, I'm sure.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Draco accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Draco postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Draco throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Draco stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Doerner throws up his legs and catches Draco in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Draco tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Doerner! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Helmut Doerner!
