Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Ironheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clyde Irving (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ironheart comes to the cage accompanied by Jag-HiiiPOWER. Irving has chosen Psychosocial as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Clyde Irving!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ironheart circles away from the clinch attempt.
Irving keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Irving tries to close the distance and clinch but Ironheart swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Irving darts in trying to clinch
and Ironheart counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Irving thinking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Irving tries to throw a body punch but Ironheart avoids it by throwing Irving back against the cage.
Ironheart is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ironheart is trying to drag Irving to the mat but Irving just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ironheart fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ironheart wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Nice body punch from Irving - that landed with a thud.
Ironheart tries to break the clinch but Irving is controlling the position.
Irving lands a hook that snaps the head of Ironheart backwards.
Ironheart tries to stall but Irving uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Irving is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Ironheart looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Irving is fending him off so far but Ironheart persists. Nope, Irving circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Ironheart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Irving looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Irving tries to clinch up but Ironheart circles away and keeps his distance.

Irving tries to work over Ironheart's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
The referee is keeping an eye on Irving - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Ironheart is looking to break free of the clinch but Irving has double underhooks.

Irving is trying to stall.
Ironheart is trying to force a seperation but Irving has the dominant position.

Ironheart manages to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Ironheart working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Irving doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Irving manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ironheart looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Ironheart has his foot on Irving's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Irving works his way back into a safe position though.
Irving really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ironheart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ironheart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Irving got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ironheart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Irving has managed to get both his arms back between Ironheart's legs - danger averted.
Irving is looking to stand up but Ironheart won't let him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ironheart manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ironheart is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Irving is surviving well by controlling Ironheart's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Ironheart throws a looping overhand right but Irving ducks down to avoid it.

Irving lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Irving throws a head punch that misses.
Irving lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ironheart backwards.
Irving lands a body shot.
Irving tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Irving misses with a punch to the body.

Ironheart pulls Irving into guard.

Irving avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Irving not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Irving content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ironheart has locked up a guillotine! Ironheart's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Irving is holding on here and Ironheart must be using up a lot of energy. Irving has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ironheart gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jim Ironheart!
Jim Ironheart very nearly forgot to thank :: Happy Pills :: amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
