Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tito Sotto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roman Parhomenko!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sotto swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sotto throws a sloppy head kick and Parhomenko moves out of range easily.
Tito Sotto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sotto looks for the body kick but Parhomenko saw that one coming.
Parhomenko takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sotto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sotto throws a low kick, looking for Parhomenko's leg but Parhomenko calmly moves out of range.
Sotto lands a front kick.
Sotto throws a shot from downtown. Parhomenko moves away and avoids it.
Parhomenko takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Parhomenko looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sotto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sotto wants it to stay on the feet.
Parhomenko sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sotto thuds a left hand into Parhomenko's body.
Nice jab there from Sotto.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sotto throws a head kick that misses.
Sotto lands a nice looking body kick.
Parhomenko blocks the body kick.
Sotto scores with a kick to the body.

Sotto lands a big right hand that sends Parhomenko crashing to the mat! Sotto stays standing though and waves Parhomenko back to his feet!


Parhomenko is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sotto connects with a good right hand that stumbles Parhomenko. Parhomenko circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Parhomenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Sotto finish him?
Sotto misses with a jab, cross combination.
Parhomenko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Sotto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sotto connects with an inside leg kick.
Parhomenko seems to have recovered his senses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Sotto - that will leave a mark!

Sotto throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A head kick misses from Sotto.
No luck for Parhomenko with that takedown attempt.
Sotto is looking to land body kicks.
Sotto lands a head shot.
Sotto jabs Parhomenko to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Parhomenko has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Sotto.
Sotto connects with a solid leg kick.
Parhomenko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Sotto drops Parhomenko with a beautiful combination! Parhomenko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sotto is looking for the KO!

Sotto lands a body shot.
Sotto is looking to wear down Parhomenko with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Sotto throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Parhomenko crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tito Sotto!
Tito Sotto retains his welterweight title!
Tito Sotto decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
