The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gordeau stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rocha.

Gordeau throws a hook but Rocha blocks it.

Rocha throws a sloppy head kick and Gordeau moves out of range easily.
Rocha swats away the attempt to clinch by Gordeau.

It looks like Gerard Gordeau has been cut.
Gordeau looks to throw the jab but Rocha is out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gordeau throws a hook to the side of Rocha's head but Rocha sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Rocha really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rocha buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Gordeau takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gordeau looks gassed!
Rocha dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gordeau. That did some damage!

Rocha scores with a jab to the head.
Gordeau is rocked!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rocha! Gordeau is out on his feet! Rocha rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Gordeau is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Gordeau is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
