Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Turk Ransel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Deupreaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ransel comes to the cage accompanied by Bro Hymm- Pennywise. Turk Ransel had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Turk Ransel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Deupreaux!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ransel tries to clinch up.
Ransel lands a jab to the nose.


It looks like Jacques Deupreaux has been cut.
Ransel tries for a takedown but Deupreaux circles away easily
and Deupreaux counters with a three punch combo that has Ransel backing up. Ransel nods at Deupreaux to acknowledge the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Deupreaux misses with a few strikes there.
Ransel shoots in for a double leg but Deupreaux sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Deupreaux drives through with a takedown into Ransel's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Deupreaux working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ransel looking for a sweep. Not yet Ransel, not yet.
Ransel keeping moving, preventing Deupreaux from controlling successfully.

Deupreaux keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ransel's head.

Ransel keeping moving, preventing Deupreaux from controlling successfully.
Deupreaux working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ransel's head.
Ransel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ransel trying to keep a closed guard but Deupreaux is proving a slippery customer.
Deupreaux tries to free his leg and advance position but Ransel is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Deupreaux wants to clinch but Ransel slips to the side
and Ransel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Deupreaux thinking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ransel throws out a powerful jab.
Ransel shoots in looking for a takedown but Deupreaux manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ransel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Turk Ransel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Deupreaux changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ransel tries to avoid it but Deupreaux manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ransel to the ground. Ransel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ransel fails to land with a series of punches.

Deupreaux moves into the clinch.
Ransel blocks an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Deupreaux keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ransel's efforts to push away.
Ransel stalling in the clinch but Deupreaux improves position.
Deupreaux lands a shot to the body.
Ransel is trying to maintain a safe position but Deupreaux gets an underhook and turns Ransel into the cage.
Ransel looking to throw knees to the head but Deupreaux is blocking nicely.
Deupreaux displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ransel up against the cage.
Ransel using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Ransel is trying to break free.
Deupreaux misses with a hook to the ribs.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Ransel as Deupreaux tries to tie him up.
Ransel has had enough of the clinch but Deupreaux keeps him there for the moment.

Deupreaux breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ransel throws a head kick but Deupreaux moves out of range.
Ransel tries to close the distance and clinch but Deupreaux swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Deupreaux gets a takedown into half guard.
Deupreaux prevents Ransel from improving his position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ransel gets back to full guard.
Deupreaux wants to control from the top but Ransel keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Deupreaux won't allow Ransel to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacques Deupreaux dominated that round.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Nice sprawl there from Ransel as Deupreaux shoots in.
Ransel throws an overhand right that lands on Deupreaux's shoulder, as Deupreaux tries to avoid the shot.
Deupreaux takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ransel drives through and clinches with Deupreaux against the cage.
Ransel stalling.

Deupreaux is pressed up against the cage. Ransel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Deupreaux down to the mat. Deupreaux avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A swing and a miss from Ransel.
Deupreaux misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ransel is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Deupreaux lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Turk Ransel has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Ransel.
Deupreaux closes the distance and clinches up with Ransel, looking for a takedown. Deupreaux pushes Ransel against the cage but Ransel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Deupreaux shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ransel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Deupreaux chips away with some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Deupreaux postures up and lands a big shot to Ransel's brow.
Deupreaux has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ransel wants to sweep here but Deupreaux controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deupreaux keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ransel's head.
Ransel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Deupreaux arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ransel's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jacques Deupreaux!
A less than humble Jacques Deupreaux misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
