Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennedy comes into the arena with MegaDeth - Symphony of Destruction blaring out of the sound system. Black has chosen The Pixies - Hey as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Black!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Black cracks Kennedy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Some wild striking there from Black.

Kennedy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Black's half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kennedy is trying to control the action in half guard but Black is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kennedy is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kennedy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Black's waist but Black gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kennedy off to one side.
Frank Black is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Frank Black will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Black throws a front kick that sends Kennedy stumbling back into the cage.
Black swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kennedy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Black!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Black avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kennedy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Frank Black.
