The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winnfield throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Aybara gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Aybara pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Aybara throws a nice looking combination but Winnfield bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aybara showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Winnfield.
Winnfield lands a glancing blow to the side of Aybara's head.
A swing and a miss from Winnfield.
Winnfield comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Aybara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Aybara moves into the clinch successfully.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aybara tries to pull guard but Winnfield holds him up against the cage and eventually Aybara drops back down to his feet.

Winnfield breaks from the clinch.

Aybara scores with a takedown into Winnfield's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Aybara gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Aybara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jules Winnfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Winnfield works Aybara's body with a nice hook.
Aybara is breathing heavily.

Winnfield drops Aybara with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Aybara looks back up at him and smiles so Winnfield waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Aybara is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Winnfield is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Aybara flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Aybara is out cold! Winnfield holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
