PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johns comes to the cage accompanied by Cocaine Blues. Fernando Martinez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johns scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Martinez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Martinez fails with an attempt to clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Johns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Martinez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johns is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Martinez is just riding it out for now. Johns eventually gives up the hold.
